洋裁鋏は鋼の違いにより、小野市製造の品でも安価のものから高価なものまでありますが、
播州刃物は主に日本鋼（日立安来鋼白紙使用）の高炭素の鋼を使用。
切れ味に加え、摩耗性にも優れた品です。布地の切断に最適ですが、紙（用紙）を切られてもその違いは歴然です。
ビニールなど柔らかいものならよく切れます。金属・木などの硬いものは刃が欠けますので使用しないでください。
